This Thursday Maison is back:  Napoleon. House and Disco and Disco-House.  $5 Champagne glasses from 10-midnight.  Me and some cool kids.  Roll on through!

With the new party schedule for Maison, we were originally going to miss celebrating Beaujolais Nouveau tonight (3rd Thursday of November)… but Napoleon and I found this unacceptable, so we are after all going to throw down tonight!

Napoleon will be offering $6 glasses of Beaujolais Nouveau all night long, plus a 2-for-1 special from 9-11PM!  Who are we… HALO?!

Plus I got tons of new jams I’m doing to play- should be a fun time!

Maison is going back to its root: Thursday nights in the basement lounge at Napoleon Bistro. Only now we have twice as much Champagne to drink because we’ll be listening to the best in progressive house music on 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month (Thanksgiving excluded for November).

TMY will be flying solo this week- so get there early because we still have the $5 Champagne special from 10-midnight and bring your dancing shoes.

It’s my second birthday and I’m going to be a brat about it.  I’m going to have twice as many parties, I’m taking over the swanky basement lounge, and I’m moving to Thursdays, my favorite night of the week to go out.  Deal with it.

Oh, and I purposely arranged it so that my 2nd Birthday party would be on the same day as Global Champagne Day.  Toast to that!

My little baby is getting all grown up and/or entering its terrible twos phase!

Maison has changed locations (napoleon to donovan and then back to napoleon), nights (thursdays then fridays then thursdays then fridays), and floors (basement to rooftop to basement to main floor) over the past two years, and Friday will no doubt be a time to celebrate its longevity.

But I am also pleased to announce Maison’s future: starting in November, we will be going back to our roots by having Maison on Thursdays and back in the swank basement of Napoleon Bistro…. plus we’ll be having it on 2nd AND 4th Thursdays of every month!

Additionally, for its 2nd birthday, Maison will be in the basement lounge at Napoleon and William DeVon will be joining TMY!

William DeVon is a DJ/Producer hailing(redskins reference) out of Washington DC. You can catch him spinning Nu Disco, Indie dance and House music all over the city. Working with some of the best djs in the city, William DeVon has tag teamed with SPACE AGENT and Mr Bonkerz for the Xanadu party @ Cafe St. Ex. Ebony and Ivory w/ DJ Smudge. He has also played at Velvet Lounge, Sweet Spot, 9:30 club backbar, Science Club, Rock and Roll Hotel, Marvin, and U Street Music Hall. He now has a residency (Lift Off) at MiG bar in Adams Morgan every 1st Weds of the month with DJ Ken Lazee. Also the founder/creator of the DJ collective After Burners with DJs Lustrus and Jordan Mars, you can catch them spinning every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month at MiG bar. Look for upcoming remixes and original nu disco and indie dance tracks from After Burners.

So come have a champagne toast with me on Friday, October 28th to celebrate 2 years of French House and Disco parties and our future with twice as much of the fun.

Gotta hang out w/ Ed the Metaphysical last night at his party Church at St. Ex and we’re both really excited about Maison on Friday.  As always, RSVPs on the necessary evil FB are greatly appreciated.

Ed and I will be paying tribute to the late DJ Mehdi on Friday, so expect more or a French hard-electro sound at Maison this month (a la Ed Banger).  Basically we want to turn Napoleon into the Paris Social Club.
